Tova- shoe for life
The story of TOVA begins in 2002, when the Eide family consisting of mum, dad and two (eventually three) children moved to Mongolia. Here they were part of a Norad-supported aid project, where people in the city of Darhan received training in felting wool products.
Collaboration between Norwegian and Mongolian designers was established and the result was fine wool products of high quality.
The adventure with Slipper Production started and today so today about a hundred Mongolian families have their livelihood, as a result of this work. The development assistance project has become business development and recipients have become employees.
Production in Mongolia is based on local raw materials and the goal is to develop people by offering good working conditions, development opportunities and a dignified salary. We have followed Tova all the way and are impressed with these nice people behind the brand TOVA.
